We stayed at the Aspen Court Taihape, on our way from Wellington to Thames. What we did find interesting, is that motel facilities identified a hairdryer is available in the unit. To our amazement, we never found one at all when we did a unit check off with the information included in amenities available on website. Milk for unit is very very small UHT milk capsules, very minimal capacity, for staying a night.

We enjoyed our stay at Aspen Court Hotel very much. Very clean, tidy, spacious room with a comfortable bed and adequate cooking facilities. And in the morning, we were briefly visited by Tinkerbell, the friendly housecat. An added bonus! We will be back!

We were happy with our stay. A nice clean unit, with all the amenities we needed for an overnight stay. We were surprised that there were no electric blankets, so maybe you need to say bring a hot water bottle, as some of us like to get into a warm bed, especially on a cold night in Taihape.

Hi stayed For One night,Was a -2 night, end off Winter..Rooms are very large, But shocking, No electric blankets on beds,or spare bedding, Lucky had a hot water bottle…And very light quilt an blanket..the lamp ,You had to turn off by wall, …Really i am shocked no electric Blankets,!!!!

We have stayed at Aspen for many years each time we come south. It is always very clean, tidy and the hosts are very welcoming. The units are lovely and warm on a cold night. It is the best Motel in Taihape, we recommend it to anyone wanting to stay a night or two.

We were very pleased with our choice to book Aspen. Simple process, easy to find, helpful and welcoming management. Clean, well maintained and warm when we arrived after a long day. Parking with a trailer was no problem and we walked into town for a great dinner at a recommended restaurant. Thanks so much, we will be back. Coral and Steve

My family and i occupied two rooms while in Taihape for two nights. The rooms were just what we needed, and were clean and tidy. The central heating was great – and the heated tiles were a treat.

Arrived when very cold, unit very clean, warm and spacious. Bed very comfortable and warm. Very pleased to have selected this motel. I would recommend to others passing through and needing a lovely motel to stay at.

We embarked on a 10 day road trip…booked nothing! This was the best motel we stayed in between Tauranga and Christchurch! The rooms were spacious, so warm (under floor heating). Highly recommend breaking your road trip here..plus the owner recommended ‘La Cafe’ for breakfast! Wonderful too! Stop in Taihape, you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely motel. Great room, spacious, clean, had everything you needed. We advised the owner we would be arriving late and he left the light on in our unit so we didn’t have to arrive in the dark.

Good, spacious rooms with everything clean and tidy, as you would expect. Nice spacious grounds. Well insulated from nearby highway noise and only a short distance from the town centre.

Excellent, helpful and accomodating staff – use of the BBQ was not a problem and so appreciated by us. Facilities were super spotless, spacious rooms and soundproof, which was great for trucks on the highway. Our room had all we needed to be self sufficient. Highly recommended.
